Is This You?

Facilitated stretching sounds good, but you want more

If facilitated stretching sounds like a good starting point but you want something more comprehensive and more hands-on, Thai massage is the next step. It is a full-body, highly interactive session, part compression, part stretching, using gravity and your own body weight to move through the work.

How this is different from table massage

This is worked through comfortable clothing, not oil on bare skin. I use rhythmic palm and thumb compression along your muscle lines combined with guided, assisted stretching, actively moving your body through positions using gravity, not just holding a stretch in place.

Clothed, draped, or both, your choice

Some clients want the whole session fully clothed and interactive. Others prefer a more traditional massage first and want the stretching added at the end while draped on the table. Either way works, and if you already liked facilitated stretching, this is the more comprehensive version of that same idea.

Why Choose This

A more comprehensive, more open-minded session

I am Mickie, a licensed massage therapist with 6+ years and thousands of sessions behind me. This is one of the more involved sessions I offer, real back-and-forth between practitioner and client, and it is worth trying if regular massage has started to feel routine or you want something that leaves you feeling genuinely opened up.

The Visit

What a Thai massage session looks like here.

Clothed, rhythmic, and built around movement, not just pressure.

01

We Talk First

What you are hoping to get out of the session and how you want to be worked, clothed and interactive or draped on the table.

02

We Work Rhythmic Compression

Palm and thumb pressure along the major muscle lines.

03

We Add Assisted Stretching

Guided stretches using gravity and your body weight, woven in throughout.

04

You Leave Feeling Opened Up

A different kind of loose than table massage leaves you with, relaxed and more mobile.

A full-body technique combining rhythmic compression along the muscle lines with assisted, gravity-based stretching, done through comfortable clothing.

Loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, think what you would wear to a yoga class.

Either works, it is entirely up to you. Some clients want the fully clothed, interactive version, others prefer massage first and stretching added at the end while draped.

Facilitated stretching is usually added onto a table session focused on one or two areas. Thai massage is a full-body approach built around compression and stretching from the start, more comprehensive overall.

No. The stretching is guided and only goes as far as is comfortable for you that day, whatever your current range of motion is.
